Upland Hills Health Patient Satisfaction Scores
beat the state and national average!
On March 28th the Medicare/Government website www.hospitalcompare.hhs.gov published
patient satisfaction scores for hospitals throughout the
nation for the first time.
Data shows that Upland Hills Health
has satisfied –and
in many cases even exceeded—patients’ expectations.
In fact, they are doing a better job than most hospitals
in Wisconsin or even the U.S.
The website report shows then
on a scale of 1 to 10 (where 10 is excellent), 83% of Upland
Hills Health patients rank the organization as a 9 or 10.
In comparison, the average hospital in Wisconsin received
a rank of 9 or 10 from only 69% of their customers; in the
U.S. the average hospital received a rank of 9 or 10 from
only 63%.
Also impressive
was the fact that over 80% of Upland Hills Health customers
would “definitely recommend” the
hospital. Compare that to the 71% average of Wisconsin hospitals
and 67% average of all hospitals in the US.
Marketing Director
Patricia Lawson views the results as a tool for continued
change. “We’re proud of the
work we are doing. But this research also motivates us to
do even better. Upland Hills Health has a culture committed
to excellence. And such research acts as a guide to help
us prioritize our improvement efforts.”
To get a true
perspective on how impressive these results are, one has
to keep in mind that these high scores were earned during
the rather untidy surroundings of the current building project.
As Upland Hills Health Administrator Phyllis
Fritsch explained, “We’ve
got a great team of Doctors, Nurses and support staff. We
know it. And now this data proves it. Not only is our team
skilled—they’re also truly caring and compassionate.” Fritsch
added, “A big thank you to all of our customers for
their understanding and cooperation as they endure the inconvenience
and unsightly progress of the building project.”
