A respected member of the team, Jill Roethe was
presented with the Rural Health Ambassador Award during
the Healthcare Week Celebrations at Upland Hills Health
held May 7 – May 11, 2007.
Nominated by her peers, Jill was singled out for her
involvement in the community and volunteerism as well
as her professionalism and quality work in the lab
for over 25 years.
Roethe’s accomplishments include:
- Serving as Upland Hills Health Red Cross Blood
Drive Chair for many years as well as being along
time blood donor.
- Participating in cholesterol and cancer screening
events in the community
- Teaching Health Apprenticeship students in the
School-to-Work program for CESA#4 in Fennimore.
- Participating in Mission Trips to the Katrina-damaged
areas with a group from Plymouth Congregation UCC
where she also currently serves as a church treasurer.
- Serving as Past President of M, P.E.O. (Philanthropic
Education Organization)
- Serving as an active lab volunteer for the Community
Connections Free Clinic in Dodgeville.

Roethe also served as Upland Hills Auxiliary
President during previous building projects.
“The volunteering I’ve done has been
possible because of my flexible work schedule here
at Upland Hills Health, the support of my great co-workers,
and a wonderful husband. Extending my medical technology
skills into the community is very rewarding,” explained
Roethe, “and I am very surprised and honored
to bee chosen by my peers for this award.” |
