Upland Hills Health Welcomes Acupuncturist
Jim Wenger has recently joined the team at the Upland Hills
Wellness Center as an acupuncturist.
Acupuncture is a well-known Eastern medicine technique
that uses fine needles inserted in key areas of the skin
to relieve pain. The relatively pain-free practice can be
complementary to traditional medicine and is popular as a
relief for headaches, sciatic pain, tingling or numbness,
and even digestive disorders.
Jim was trained at the Midwest College of Oriental Medicine
in Racine, where he learned traditional Chinese medicine
related to acupuncture. “I like
to treat the whole person,” Jim explains. He spent
many years as a chiropractor, but changed careers when he
began to have shoulder pain from his practice.
Jim will be
available for appointments on Mondays from 8 am to 4 pm,
and Thursdays from 1 pm to 7 pm. Introductory pricing is
available at $60 for an initial consultation and $35 for
each follow up appointment. Acupuncture is covered as a flexible
spending plan-eligible service in most cases.
Appointments can be scheduled by calling 930-7147.
