Upland Hills Health’s Building
for Excellence Project aspires to the highest level of care and
quality
Community leaders, physicians, politicians, Upland Hills
Health management and Marshall Erdmann project engineers
celebrated the new building project with a kick off ceremony
held September 19th in the Hospital Café.
Upland Hills Health is entering a new era of
progress and growth marked by monumental changes taking place
on its hospital campus in Dodgeville, Wisconsin. The entire
project will take over two years of construction and will
involve extensive site improvements to the entire hospital
campus.
Phase I of the project will include:
-
a new 54,000 square-foot medical office building, featuring
innovative design for enhanced patient comfort
-
an 8,000
square-foot, superior imaging department and physical plant
boiler addition
-
a new dual-ambulance garage and relocated
helicopter landing pad, both of which meet recent changes
to governmental guidelines
-
associated site-work, including
additional parking for added patient convenience
Phase II of the project will include:
-
demolition of the existing 1913 and 1950 buildings and
1946 annex, which will make room for more state-of-the-art
facility components
-
a new lobby entrance facing Highway
23 with a large drop-off canopy for patient convenience
and comfort
-
a new second-story inpatient pharmacy adjacent
to the patient beds to improve efficiency and patient care
-
extensive interior remodeling for the Lab, Rehab Services
and the Emergency Department designed to maximize the patient
and staff experience
Marshall Erdman & Associates,
a Madison-based, national design-build firm that specializes
exclusively in healthcare facilities, has been contracted for
the project. With its revamped facility, Upland Hills Health
will be in a position to further the exceptional healthcare
it provides to Dodgeville and the surrounding communities
within its care.
