Friends honor Brian Mester with donation to
Upland Hills Health
Upland Hills Hospice Patient Brian D. Mester, age 27,
of Ridgeway and formerly of Mineral Point, passed away
on Friday February 16, 2007 surrounded by his loving family
after a courageous battle with cancer.
To honor Brian, his family and friends organized a Memorial
Ride on Brian’s birthday last August. The ride organizers
raised over $3,000.00 dollars through the support of local
businesses and ride participants at the event. It is with
deep gratitude to these participants and donors, that Brian’s
family and friends, were able to make a significant donation
to both Upland Hills Hospice and the American Cancer Society
in remembrance of Brian.

for the past seven years. He married Kristen Doescher on
February 3, 2007 in Ridgeway. Brian was an avid NASCAR fan,
loved Harleys and snowmobiling. He also enjoyed spending
time with his family and friends
“Upland Hills Hospice
helped provided care for Brian in his last days,” explains
Chris Mester, “It was a blessing to be able to keep
Brian at home—surrounded by family and friends.”
The
group is determined to make the motorcycle ride an annual
event each August. “It’s just one way to have
Brian’s life impact others” shared Kristen Mester, “ Our
