Emergency Care Steps Up a Notch at Upland Hills Health

Emergency care at Upland Hills Health has been enhanced since July 1 by a team of specialized doctors called Madison Emergency Physicians (MEP).  

MEP is a group of 19 medical doctors who have specialized in emergency medicine, having spent three years training in that specific area. They are also all board certified in emergency medicine.

Upland Hills Health will soon have a Foundation to work toward fundraising for the hospital.

 
Tammie Richter will join Upland Hills Health on June 25th as the new Foundation Director. She has served as the Foundation Manager for Southwest Technical College for the past seven years.

Dr. Cathryn Kaiser will join the Board of Directors for Upland Hills Health on June 1. Dr. Kaiser has been a family practice physician with Family Practice Associates at Upland Hills Health since 1981.

Upland Hills Health holds Family Safety Fair on May 5th
 
   

The first Family Safety Fair held on Saturday May 5th was declared a success by participants and attendees alike. Over 200 people visited Upland Hills Health’s new ambulance garage to gather information on ways to keep their loved ones safe.

Upland Hills Health held its annual Volunteer Recognition banquet on April 19th, with record attendance.  
The banquet is held yearly during National Volunteer Week, to honor and thank the hospital volunteers for the time they have donated to Upland Hills Health.

New Director of Obstetrics Named at Upland Hills
 
   
Dori Christenson, RN, has been promoted to Director of Obstetrics at Upland Hills Health.  
Christenson has been an obstetrical nurse with Upland Hills Health since 1998, and has worked as a registered nurse for 27 years. She has been very instrumental in developing many Obstetrical programs and processes at Upland Hills Health.

Upland Hills Health Nursing & Rehab Center Employees earn National Recognition
 
   
Two of Upland Hills Nursing & Rehab Center’s team are to be honored at the National Association of Activity Professionals awards to be held this April in Columbus, Ohio.  
Steve McCarthy, Director of Strategic Operations at Upland Hills Health, also served as interim Administrator of the Upland Hills Nursing and Rehab Center until August 31, 2006. His outstanding leadership and exemplary work at the Nursing & Rehab Center earned McCarthy the prestigious Administrator of the Year at the state and national level.

Nurses hold Move to Improve Seminar at the Senior Expo in Belmont
 
   
Co-mangers of the Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation Program at Upland Hills Health will be conducting a MOVE TO IMPROVE session at the Senior Expo on March 29,2007.
