season is a battle for anyone that enjoys
Christmas cookies and pumpkin pie with whipped
cream! To address the annual weight
gain that occurs every November and
December, the Upland Hills Health Cardiopulmonary

Health Challenge. |
| The celebration for participants
in the Health Challenge was held February
27, 2006 at the hospital. A crowd gathered
to sample a delicious heart-healthy lunch
including grilled turkey, pita bread, Greek
Tomato Salad, fresh fruit, angel food cake

Delivery enhances care in Upland Hills

| |
| On January 18, 2006 Upland Hills Health
Birthing Unit received delivery of six state-of-the-art

needs.” Doctors and nurses will have
complete and current information right at
the mother’s bedside. |

birthing suites have made the Birthing Unit
famous among area families, Administrator

current reputation is not enough. Fritsch
noted the hospital’s goal for constant
improvement, “This investment demonstrates,
once again, the hospital’s dedication

Community Wide Disaster
Drill taps area resources to “save” lives |
| |
| Wounded school children “trapped” inside
a school bus while toxic Anhydrous Ammonia “leaks” from
a nearby tank. A parent’s worst nightmare?
Not this time. The bus rollover –farm
truck and anhydrous tank “collision” was
the event staged in Dodgeville for October
11th’s Community Wide Disaster Drill. |
| Resources from throughout Iowa County and
Southwest Wisconsin took this opportunity
to fine tune emergency response skills. “While
events have been staged in the past, the
intensive coordination of resources and efforts
to create realism made this disaster drill
an extremely effective learning experience,” stated
Maria Leary RN and member of the Upland Hills
