Wellness Opportunities for All

The mission of Upland Hills Health Therapy and Wellness Center is to offer affordable wellness programming for community members of all ages and abilities. If there are classes you would like to see offered, but are not listed call 930-7147. We are adding classes and instructors regularly and may just have what you are looking for.

These opportunities are available to all—
regardless of whether you are a Wellness Center member or not.

Class sizes are limited and pre-registration is requested--classes with low participation may be canceled.

Full Body Workout 

**This class is full for Winter Session I
This workout combines fun athletic drills, strength training, power abs for a leaner, tighter, and slimmer body. You will target and tone all muscle groups.  With this workout you will keep burning fat long after you have hit the showers.

Zumba

Zumba Fitness is a dance fitness party.  It blends Latin and international rhythms with body energizing moves that result in an exhilarating and effective full body fitness program.  It will change the way you feel about your workouts so ditch the workout and join the party!

Yoga Alignment

**This class is full for Winter Session I
Yoga Alignment will help deepen your understanding of the yoga process.  With the use of blocks and straps, extra time will be taken to focus on your alignment.  A great class for those hoping to expand their knowledge, as well as beginners.

Clubs-N-Kettlebells

Let the fluid and rhythmic movements of swinging light Indian Clubs help tone the upper body, while the "hip and core drive" of the Kettlebell discipline gives you a solid foundation.

Nia™

Nia™ is a spontaneous and joyful cardio and low-impact aerobics workout.  Engaging body, mind and spirit while creating flexibility, agility, mobility, strength and stamina through martia arts, dance arts and healing arts.  Dancing and playing for any age and any ability!

Morning Muscle Mix

A strength class mixed with high intensity cardio blasts mixed in to kick your metabolism into high gear. This class will increase your calorie burn for hours! Taught by a personal trainer.

Senior Arthritis Strengthening

**This class is full for Winter Session I
This class is taught by a trained Arthritis Foundation Exercise instructor.  Gentle movements to enhance balance and agility.  Alleviate pain and increase the ease of accomplishing daily tasks.  Please wear non-binding comfortable clothing.

Circuit Training

Learn what a difference resistance exercises and weights can make. Comprehensive instruction on our state-of the-art work out equipment. You’ll improve your muscular endurance and strength—safely. Never lifted weights before? Don’t be intimidated… Personal trainer Eugene Schulz takes you through the ins and outs of circuit training so you get real results.

Cardio Interval

**This class is full for Winter Session I
Looking for a high intensity strength and cardio class to switch up your routine?  This class will add some variety to your routine class  is designed for those looking to firm, strengthen and sculpt their bodies with an intense workout.

Tai Chi

**This class is full for Winter Session I
Improve your strength and achieve balance both mentally and physically with Tai Chi. You will learn 12 essential movement patterns of the Tai Chi Fundamentals Form, as well as mind/body principles to enhance Tai Chi practice. This is a low impact, moderate aerobic exercise which will leave you feeling relaxed and refreshed!

Acupuncture Services

Acupuncture is a well-known pain management technique originating in Eastern Medicine. It uses specific placement of fine needles to relieve such pains as headaches, sciatic pain and numbness or tingling.

Acupuncturist Jim Wenger was trained at the Midwest College of Oriental Medicine in Racine, WI and began practice at Upland Hills Health in 2009.

Massage Therapy Services

Certified Massage Practitioner offers a range of massage therapies and techniques. Stress relieving, relaxation and therapeutic massages based on a range of methods. From deep tissue and Swedish massage to eastern “tui na” systems, the practitioner designs a customized treatment to offer the best healing experience.

The soothing environment of our massage suite will feel like a mini spa getaway.

During their hospital stay, in patients and OB patients can purchase massages to be done right in the privacy of their room.

You do NOT need to be a member to take advantage of our massage services.

Massages make an excellent gift. Gift certificates available by calling 930-7147.

$25 for ½ hour massage
$45 for 1 hour massage

Work with a Certified Personal Trainer to develop a customized work out that considers all your needs, health concerns, and personal goals.

Sessions available by appointment to Upland Hills Health Therapy & Wellness Center Members.

$40/hour.

available for one-on-one workout coaching.
  

Personal Trainer Joan Pape is available to meet
the specific fitness needs of Wellness Center
members 65 years and older.
She is a certified trainer for seniors,
available by appointment for one on one sessions.
