Wellness Opportunities for All

The mission of Upland Hills Health Therapy and Wellness Center is to offer affordable wellness programming for community members of all ages and abilities. If there are classes you would like to see offered, but are not listed call 930-7147. We are adding classes and instructors weekly and may just have what you are looking for.

These opportunities are available to all—regardless of whether you are a wellness center member or not.

Senior Arthritis Strengthening

This class is taught by a trained Arthritis Foundation Exercise instructor.  Gentle movements to enhance balance and agility.  Alleviate pain and increase the ease of accomplishing daily tasks.  Please wear non-binding comfortable clothing.

Shape & Tone Yoga

Strengthen and tone common problem areas while improving balance, posture and flexibility. Wear relaxed apparel and bring a yoga mat if you have one.

Circuit Training

Learn what a difference resistance exercises and weights can make. Comprehensive instruction on our state-of the-art work out equipment. You’ll improve your muscular endurance and strength—safely. Never lifted weights before? Don’t be intimidated… Personal trainer Eugene Schulz takes you through the ins and outs of circuit training so you get real results.

Nia

Nia is a spontaneous and joyful cardio and low-impact aerobics workout. Engaging body, mind and spirit while creating flexibility, agility, mobility, strength and stamina through martial arts, dance arts and healing arts. Dancing and playing for any age and any ability!

Kettlebell Workout

Kettlebells resemble a canon ball with a handle welded on. This multi-purpose fitness tool can help you to your next fitness level. Great affects for cardio, wisdom of functional strength and increased range of motion.

Cardio Interval

Looking for a high intensity strength and cardio class to switch up your routine?  This class will add some variety to your routine class  is designed for those looking to firm, strengthen and sculpt their bodies with an intense workout.

Kick Butt Boot Camp

This workout is sure to please the diehard in all of us. Combines total body training, kickboxing techniques, weights, cardio, and Power Abs techniques to make this an unbelievably effective workout experience.  Come shed off the pounds and tone up!

Turbo Kick

This class will be a combination of intense kickboxing as well as dance moves choreographed to high energy and motivating music. It's the ultimate cardiovascular challenge that is a unique blend of intense intervals, strength and endurance training with a relaxing cool down.

Working out doesn’t have to be a chore, start your day working with your whole body.  This class has cardio, strength, floor, ball and core exercises to get you fit while having fun.

Acupuncture Services

Acupuncture is a well-known pain management technique originating in Eastern Medicine. It uses specific placement of fine needles to relieve such pains as headaches, sciatic pain and numbness or tingling.

Acupuncturist Jim Wenger was trained at the Midwest College of Oriental Medicine in Racine, WI and began practice at Upland Hills Health in 2009.

Massage Therapy Services

Certified Massage Practitioner offers a range of massage therapies and techniques. Stress relieving, relaxation and therapeutic massages based on a range of methods. From deep tissue and Swedish massage to eastern “tui na” systems, the practitioner designs a customized treatment to offer the best healing experience.

The soothing environment of our massage suite will feel like a mini spa getaway.

During their hospital stay, in patients and OB patients can purchase massages to be done right in the privacy of their room.

You do NOT need to be a member to take advantage of our massage services.

Massages make an excellent gift. Gift certificates available by calling 930-7147.

$25 for ½ hour massage
$45 for 1 hour massage

Personal Training

Work with a Certified Personal Trainer to develop a customized work out that considers all your needs, health concerns, and personal goals.

Sessions available by appointment to Upland Hills Health Therapy & Wellness Center Members.

$40/hour.

 
Personal Trainers Eugene Schulz and Sara Thayer are
available for one-on-one workout coaching.
  

Personal Trainer Joan Pape is available to meet
the specific fitness needs of Wellness Center
members 65 years and older.
She is a certified trainer for seniors,
available by appointment for one on one sessions.
