Non Profit Healthcare and Financial Assistance
Karey Menard is a Patient Benefit Specialist at Upland HIlls Health. She assists patients with billing issues and questions about insurance coverage, meets with patients to determine uncompensated care eligibility, and establishes payment plans as needed.
If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed by medical bills and insurance explanation of benefits, you’re not alone. Let’s face it: health care is not cheap, and insurance policies are not simple.
Upland Hills Health is here to help. We are a community-minded healthcare system providing innovative, individualized and compassionate care for every stage of life. One of our core values is affordability–bringing care to all who need it. As a nonprofit hospital, patients come first.
Patient Benefit Specialists at Upland Hills Health can help patients set up payment arrangements, answer questions about their bills and guide them in applying for financial assistance. Self-pay patients (patients without any insurance) also receive a 39.24 percent discount off their hospital or clinic accounts. If you are having problems paying your hospital bills, contact a Patient Benefit Specialist at (608)930-7200 ext. 4145.
Almost half of the $4,117,400 in Community Benefits from our last fiscal year was Uncompensated Care. Concerned you won’t qualify for financial assistance? Call a Patient Benefit Specialist. We understand medical needs can be stressful; let us see if we can help ease the financial burden.
