John Lehman, DO, a Family Medicine Physician with Upland Hills Health, will officially retire Friday, April 13, 2018. Dr. Lehman has provided care for the Highland and Montfort communities for 40 years.
To honor Dr. Lehman’s years of service, a retirement celebration will be held Friday, April 13 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Highland Fire Station, 709 Dodgeville St., Highland, Wisconsin. There will be a brief recognition at 5:30 p.m. The public is invited.
Dr. Lehman’s career and the story of healthcare in Highland began over 40 years ago. Lehman was working with the National Health Service Corps in the 1970s and was exploring rural communities that needed physicians. While traveling through Highland he met a few members of the Highland Lions Club who convinced him to become their community’s doctor.
In the summer of 1978, Dr. Lehman began to see patients at the Highland Clinic. The community found a caring and dedicated doctor in Dr. John Lehman. It was common for him to make house calls when needed. He has served as the community’s doctor and has supported many community projects.
Upland Hills Health, Inc acquired the Highland Clinic in 2006. Since that time, Dr. Lehman has been a valued member of the Upland Hills Health medical staff.
