Wellness opportunities for all ages and abilities

The mission of Upland Hills Health Therapy and Wellness Center is to offer affordable wellness programming for community members of all ages and abilities. We now offer two locations: within the campus of Upland Hills Health in Dodgeville, and at 802 RIdge Street, Mineral Point.  Each location offers its own unique mix of equipment. If you are a current member of the Wellness Center in Dogeville and would like to add on a Mineral Point membership, please contact the Therapy & Wellness Center at 608.930.7147.

Classes are available at the Dodgeville location. If there are classes you would like to see offered, but are not listed, please call 608.930.7147. We are adding classes and instructors regularly and may just have what you are looking for. The opportunities below are available to all, members and non-members.

Post-therapy memberships are available to individuals within 30 days of their discharge from physical therapy, at a cost of $20 per month for 2 months. Guest passes are available for $10 per visit. 1 guest per visit – Individual must be over 18, must be accompanied by a member.

Sessions start the first week of every month. Class sizes are limited and pre-registration is requested--classes with low participation may be canceled.

Senior Arthritis Strengthening Video

SENIOR ARTHRITIS STRENGTHENING In this class, we integrate exercises that enhance strength, balance, relieve chronic pain, and promote overall wellness. Classes are tailored to suit individual needs so that each participant can work at whatever level they are able.

Strength & Stretch Video

Mix It Up A moderate intensity workout using exercise balls, hand weights, and body weight exercises. This class incorporates balance, as well and Pilates and Yoga principles to strengthen your body and to improve your flexibility. Please call for availability as spots are limited.

STRENGTH, STRETCH  & FLOW- A low-impact workout designed to improve balance, strength and flexibility by using elements of Pilates, Yoga and Strength Training. This class is suitable for all fitness levels.

TONE IT UP  - This class incorporates full body toning with strength training.  You will be using weights to produce stronger bones and muscles and increase your metabolism to help maintain a healthy body weight.  This class is for everyone, whether you are a beginner or you want to switch up your workout!

CHAIR YOGAA chair yoga class geared for the beginner participant. Learn chair yoga poses and exercises to reduce stress, increase strength, flexibility and improve breathing. Chairs will be provided.

CIRCUIT TRAINING  - Add some variety to your routine with this class designed for those looking to strengthen their bodies.  This class with incorporate free weights, equipment, and bursts of cardio for an all around workout.  All levels of fitness are welcome to this class, as instruction will be given for those looking to modify or looking for an advanced workout.

Dr JAMES WENGER W PATIENT 118WJim Wenger has been with Upland Hills Health for 8 years and enjoys helping people find relief from chronic pain, headaches, back pain, knee pain, anxiety and sleep issues by assisting the body to heal itself through acupuncture.

 

 
 

Jessicakramer Badgephoto 118Jessica Kramer joined Upland Hills Health in 2018 as an acupuncturist and massage therapist. She works primarliy with women to help balance the body and find relief from fertility issues, menopause symptoms, menstrual issues, anxiety and depression. Jessica also offers post partum massage to new moms in the Birthing Unit at Upland Hills Health.

Our certified massage therapists are trained in many forms of massage, from deep tissue and Swedish to eastern “tui na.” If an hour of relaxation and pampering is what you need, or if a therapeutic massage to help with kinks and aches is more appropriate, our therapists will design customized treatments to offer the best healing experience for you.

2015 UHH MASSAGE KELLY 118WKelly Michek has been a licensed massage therapist at Upland Hills Health for 6 years. She enjoys providing a holistic option for healthcare for the community, and has helped many area clients get relief from sciatic pain, lower back pain, hip pain and shoulder pain, improving sleep relaxation and anxiety in the process.  Kelly has recently been certified in Oncology Massage and Lower Body Treatment Massage. 





Jessicakramer Badgephoto 118Jessica Kramer joined Upland Hills Health in 2018 as a massage therapist and an acupuncturist. Her massage practice at UHH focuses on caring for new moms in the Birthing Unit.

If you’re looking for a one on one approach to help you meet your wellness goals, you may be interested in personal training. As a member of the Wellness Center you can schedule an appointment to meet with our certified personal trainers to design a plan based on your specific needs to help you meet your fitness goals.
