Federal funding support will expand care options for older adults in southwest Wisconsin
Upland Hills Health is proud to announce that it has secured $2,000,000 in federal funding to support the construction of a new senior living campus near its existing hospital and nursing home campus. This funding was included in the recent bipartisan government funding legislation championed by U.S. Senator Tammy Baldwin and is designated for the development of modern senior living facilities that will enhance care options for older adults in southwest Wisconsin.
“We are deeply grateful for this significant investment in our senior care expansion project,” said Mark Thompson, President and CEO, Upland Hills Health. “This funding brings us one step closer to expanding high-quality living accommodations and care for seniors in our region. It reflects our ongoing commitment to serve community members at every stage of life and ensure they have access to the services they need close to home.”
The planned senior living campus will feature residential spaces and supportive care services designed to meet the diverse needs of older adults, including assisted living and memory care. This development aligns with Upland Hills Health’s long-term vision to broaden its continuum of care and respond to the growing needs of an aging population in southwest Wisconsin.
Upland Hills Health officials have been advancing plans for the senior living campus for several years, including land acquisition and facility design, with the intention of creating a welcoming and supportive environment for all residents. The $2 million in federal funding will help accelerate construction and bring this vital project to fruition.
“Support like this from our federal partners is key to making impactful community health initiatives possible,” Mark Thompson, President and CEO added. “We are thankful to Senator Baldwin for her leadership in helping bring these funds to our community.”
Once completed, the campus will not only expand care capacity but also strengthen local health infrastructure, enhance quality of life for seniors and their families, and create new opportunities for compassionate care close to home.
