Upland Hills Health Maintains National Recognition for Breast Care Quality in 2026
UHH News | March 25, 2026
Upland Hills Health is proud to once again be recognized as a Certified Quality Breast Center through the National Quality Measures for Breast Centers (NQMBC) program in 2026. This designation highlights our continued commitment to providing high-quality breast care and achieving strong patient outcomes.
The NQMBC program identifies key quality care measures, monitors institutional performance, and provides participating centers with real-time data to benchmark against other breast centers across the United States. Through this program, Upland Hills Health is able to continually evaluate and enhance the care we provide to our patients.
Upland Hills Health has been a longstanding member of the National Consortium of Breast Centers (NCBC), the organization that established the NQMBC program. Participation in this voluntary initiative allows us to track performance across more than 30 quality indicators, contributing to the development of national benchmarks and enabling meaningful comparisons with breast centers of all sizes.
“We continually use this data to assess our performance and guide our improvement efforts,” said Jared Linebarger, MD, surgeon at Upland Hills Health. “As a critical access rural breast center, we are unique in our size and location. However, through the NQMBC program, we can confirm that our breast cancer detection rates remain comparable to those of larger institutions in urban areas. We see similar positive trends in treatment metrics, including breast cancer surgery.”
Dr. Linebarger completed a fellowship in Breast Surgical Oncology through the Society of Surgical Oncology at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. As one of a small number of fellowship-trained breast cancer surgeons in Wisconsin, he brings specialized expertise and advanced care to our patients.
“Upland Hills Health and the community that supports it can be very proud of the continued investment in breast health,” Dr. Linebarger added. “This recognition reflects the importance we place on personalized care and the role it plays in breast cancer prevention, early detection, and treatment.”
This 2026 recertification reaffirms Upland Hills Health’s dedication to delivering exceptional, patient-centered breast care close to home.
